Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed professional or Registered Professional Nurse (RN) for assigned patients at Mercy Rehab Hospital. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Work a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week during nights. Maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and obtain required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or BLS as specified for the unit. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Part-time status (24 hours, Nights)
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Comparable education experience
