Job Summary
Provide patient care under supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Coordinate care with other departments and ensure all state regulatory board requirements are met for medication and treatment administration. Work a part-time 24-hour night shift at Mercy Rehab Hospital, requiring the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and complete required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or BLS within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Part-time availability (24 hours, Nights)
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure
