Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to residents, ensuring safe delivery of health services and adherence to state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include implementing care plans, administering medications, documenting care, and maintaining resident confidentiality. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited LPN/LVN program and be currently registered in their state. A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a health care facility is required, along with effective communication skills and a passion for working with senior citizens.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited program for LPN/LVN
- Currently registered in the state of the community
- Valid Continuing Education credits as required by the state of the community
- Training in Alzheimer and Dementia
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a health care facility
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
- Able to make independent decisions
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a long term care community and/or geriatric nursing facility
- Experience in emergency care and first-aid
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software
Additional Requirements
- Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required
