Job Summary
LPN–Part-Time Day Shift at Good Shepherd Lutheran Services in Rushford, MN. Provide quality of life and nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include initial data collection, administering and tracking medications, observing resident responses, performing skin treatments, catheterizations, tube feedings, and other care as needed; professional documentation per GSLS policies; coordinating and directing resident care; communicating with staff, family, and physicians; following emergency and disaster procedures; ensuring safety; and performing other duties within the scope of practice as directed. Requires healthcare experience in geriatrics/long-term care, ability to read/write English, and an active Minnesota LPN license with CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a licensed practical nurse accredited program required
- Current active LPN nursing license in the State of Minnesota in good standing
- CPR certified
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- Clinical experience with geriatrics, long-term care and/or rehabilitation preferred
- Knowledge of and skilled in physical assessment techniques to gather data
- Skilled in oral and written English communication
