Job Summary
Provide necessary medical services to patients within your scope of practice, maintaining accurate Electronic Health Record documentation and delivering patient education. Triage nurse visits and returns calls to patients and vendors, while participating in training programs directed by the Clinical Nurse Educator. Manage inventory by restocking examination rooms and lab supplies, and perform after-hour duties including communicating with patients and updating EHRs within 24 hours. Assist with QA, QI meetings, data collection, and any other duties assigned to improve clinic efficiency. Maintain competency with equipment such as ECGs, PFTs, and vital sign machines, and navigate the Microsoft Office suite. This role supports a Federally Qualified Health Center serving underserved populations across North Florida, offering exposure to diverse patient populations in a patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current LPN license in the State of Florida
- Minimum of one (1) year LPN experience in Primary Care setting preferred
- Current BLS (basic life support) Certification
- Must be organized, self-motivated and detail oriented
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Competence in working with both pediatric and adult patients
- Competency when utilizing ECG equipment
- Competency when utilizing PFT equipment
- Competency when utilizing in-house hemoglobin equipment
- Competency when utilizing Lab centrifuge equipment
- Competency when utilizing AED equipment
- Competency when utilizing Autoclave equipment
- Competency when utilizing Vital Sign Machine equipment
- Competency when utilizing Nebulizer and accessories equipment
- Competency when utilizing Blood Glucose equipment
- Competency when utilizing INR equipment
- Competency when utilizing in-house hemoglobin A1c equipment
- Competency when utilizing Oxygen tanks and accessories equipment
- Competency when utilizing Any other equipment listed on job competencies
- Ability to navigate and operate the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Meeting Continuing Education Requirement for his/her certifications and licensures as per Florida State Statutes and/or board of authority
- Effectively communicates complex and/or technical information to co-workers, patients and/or vendors
