Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide daily nursing care, order medications, and update RNs and Nurse Practitioners. Responsibilities include promoting individual independence, attending to personal and self-care needs, providing support among participants, overseeing safety and maintenance of equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and participating in treatment team activities. Required qualifications include a valid NYS LPN license, basic computer skills, and travel capability. Training is provided, and opportunities are available working with both adults and youths.
Required Qualifications
- A.A.S. Degree or High School plus Specialized Trade Certificate
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse and current NYS Registration Certificate
- Travel is required. Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- Ability to attain and maintain SCIP-R and CPR certification
