Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide daily nursing care, order medications, and collaborate with RNs and Nurse Practitioners. Responsibilities include promoting independence among program participants through the Individual Program Plan, assisting with personal care, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should possess a relevant educational background, valid NYS licensure, and strong communication skills. Paid training is provided, and opportunities to work with both adults and youths are available.
Required Qualifications
- A.A.S. Degree or High School plus Specialized Trade Certificate
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current NYS Registration Certificate
- Valid NYS Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- Ability to attain and maintain SCIP-R and CPR certification
