Job Summary
Perform general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards while assisting with equipment preparation and treatment examinations. Collect assessment data, document clinical information, and order diagnostic tests as directed by registered nurses or physicians. Gather and examine test results prior to provider assessment, schedule procedures, and obtain necessary authorizations. Administer injections or medications, collect blood and tissue specimens, and prepare them for testing. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Act 33, Act 73, and Act 34 clearance requirements while protecting confidential customer information.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma/ GED or equivalent
- Current state licensure as an LPN
- Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- CPR – American Heart Association
- HIPAA compliance
- Code of Business Conduct adherence
- Adherence to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year healthcare experience
- State approved IV course certification
- Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process
- PALS certification
- ACLS certification
