Job Summary
Provide, implement, and monitor nursing care in a Post Partum unit for a patient population ranging from less than one year to ninety-nine years. Requires licensure by the State of Tennessee, graduation from an approved school of nursing, and BLS within 90 days of hire. Functions include applying basic nursing knowledge across settings, document accurately and timely, monitor patient conditions, revise care plans, assist with discharge and post-discharge needs, and maintain a professional, safe, and healing environment. The role involves prolonged standing up to 12 hours, lifting/turning patients up to 250 lbs with assistance, and pushing/pulling objects up to 175 lbs. Must communicate in English (oral and written) and work as part of the healthcare team in a full-time night-shift capacity.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- BLS within 90 days of hire
