Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports the oral surgery team by delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities include assisting surgeons during all treatment phases, managing medications, starting IVs, monitoring patients, overseeing infection control and emergency readiness, ensuring accurate documentation, coordinating pre- and post-operative communications, and supporting surgical assisting, specimen handling, and sterilization as needed to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care. Role involves hands-on clinical duties, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, RN staff, patients, and outside providers within a fast-paced surgical setting. Schedule is full-time (30–40 hrs/wk), Mon–Thu 6:30 AM–4:30 PM, Fri 6:30 AM–1:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency, required
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program with active license, or ability to become licensed within 90 days of hire
- Associate degree in nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, and PALS required
