Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant - Part Time

Job Summary
Greets patients, manages flow, and escorts individuals to discharge. Obtains history, measures vital signs, and records data on charts. Explains procedures, prepares exam rooms, and positions instruments for providers. Administers injections, medications, and wound care under provider orders. Performs diagnostic tests, CLIA-waived lab work, and specimen processing. Removes sutures, changes dressings, and assists with basic x-rays. Prepares medication logs, schedules follow-ups, and monitors inventory. Ensures equipment quality checks and performs clerical duties. Requires BLS certification, two years of experience, and ability to work all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain and maintain a current certification in BLS
- Ability to work all shifts
- Ability to escort or transport patient by wheelchair or stretcher
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistant
- MA course completion certification
- 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- PC skills or applicable computer experience
- Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology
