Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned cardiac patients while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and ensure adherence to patient rights and confidentiality standards. Manage telemetry monitoring, pacemaker/ICA care, post-angio care, and five main medication drips specific to the 4A Cardiac unit's focus on CHF, chest pain, and pre-CABG patients. Work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am rotations including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Nurses work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am rotations weekends/holidays
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years' LPN experience
- 3-4 years' LPN experience
- 5+ years' LPN experience
- All of our nurses are ACLS certified
