Job Summary
Conduct patient care under RN supervision on a 33-bed fast-paced surgical trauma unit, managing post-operative and trauma patients with 5:1 day and 6:1 night ratios. Perform head-to-toe assessments, read telemetry strips, and execute IV insertions, catheter/trach/ostomy care, wound care, and chest tube management. Work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends, earning nightshift incentives and weekend differentials. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation
- Must be LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends
