Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adult medical patients under RN supervision while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Coordinate care with other departments and perform duties on a 12-hour shift schedule (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within 90 days of hire and hold LPN-IV certification. This role operates within a Med-surg Telemetry unit focused on adult patients requiring telemetry monitoring, serving as a testing ground for innovative improvement ideas using PDSA cycles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation
- Must be LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends
