Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adult medical patients under RN supervision, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Monitor telemetry data for patients requiring continuous observation, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends on the Med-surg Telemetry Innovation Unit, a testing ground for optimizing nursing challenges through PDSA cycles. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within 90 days of hire, including LPN-IV certification and BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation
- LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends
