Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed professional nurse or registered professional nurse. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and coordinate care in conjunction with other departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. This role operates on a PRN night shift with rotating weekends. The position requires the ability to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform prolonged standing and walking. ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications may be required based on unit needs. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- PRN - Night Shift availability
- PRN - Rotating Weekends availability
Desired Qualifications
- Consideration for comparable education experience
- Consideration for successful licensure
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association
- Successful completion of BLS course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification previously completed
- Successful completion of LPN-IV course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
