Job Summary
Provide direct patient care for individuals requiring TBI rehabilitation and intensive medical management under a Registered Nurse's direction. Lead, direct, and supervise CNAs while gathering data on nursing care, treatment progression, and medication monitoring. Assist with crisis interventions using approved Mandt techniques and participate in interdisciplinary treatment plan development. Document patient/family education and responses to actively contribute to treatment team decisions. Adhere to safe work practices, state regulations, and hospital policies. Requires a current Wisconsin LPN license, one year of sub-acute or TBI care experience, and ACLS certification within six months. Full-time or part-time 3x12 rotating weekend schedule with a $5k sign-on bonus for full-time roles.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of patient's care in both medical and rehabilitation patients
- Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side effects
- Ability to delegate responsibility to other staff and monitor their performance
- Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
- Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse school of nursing
- CPR certified
- ACLS Certified within 6 months of hire
- Current Wisconsin State License as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- One year of experience with sub-acute or traumatic brain injury care for all age groups
- NOC shift - 12 hour shifts starting at 7pm
- Full time position
- Rotating weekends
