Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care, assessments, and evaluations for residents within your scope of practice. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, establishing diagnoses, and defining interventions while coordinating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team. Deliver physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends, and teach self-care skills regarding conditions and medications. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations. Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers, and direct the workflow of nursing assistants. Requires an active LPN or RN license in South Dakota, with RN candidates eligible for a sign-on bonus and student loan repayment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical or long term care environment
