Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse needed at Pensacola Development Center to provide nursing services, training, and support addressing medical or psychiatric needs of individuals with brain injury, IDD, SUD, or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities include monitoring health conditions, administering medications and documenting care, conducting assessments and implementing services per Individual Service Plans, training staff on universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration, liaising with medical providers and external agencies to coordinate care, and providing targeted trainings on topics such as self-medication, prescribed treatments, sex education/STD prevention, and smoking cessation. Part-time role with evening and overnight shifts, based in Pensacola, FL; opportunities for full or as-needed schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field
- Current state LPN or LVN licensure for state of residence
- One year of experience working with population served in a nursing capacity
- Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance
- CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training as required by state licensing regulations
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals served, and families
