Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Neuro at Mercy Hospital South. Provides patient care using the nursing process under supervision of licensed clinicians or a RN, coordinates patient care with other departments, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality. Requires Missouri LPN licensure, BLS, and LPN-IV certification as specified. Full-time Days, 40 hours/week with sign-on bonus up to $2,000 for caregivers. Applies to both new graduates and experienced LPNs.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Comparable education experience and successful licensure may be considered
- Experience: New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing and walking; bending, stooping, patient lifting/turning with assistance; ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs.
