Licensed Practical Nurse

Provide hands-on care for patients transitioning from the ICU by administering medications, assisting with Activities of Daily Living, managing tubes and drains, and monitoring vital signs like heart rate and oxygen levels. Alert the team immediately to changes in neurological status to support early treatment. Maintain clear and timely records to ensure patient safety while helping patients and families understand their conditions during recovery. Collaborate closely with RNs, doctors, and specialists to stabilize patients and facilitate their move forward from intensive care. This role is situated in the Progressive Care Unit at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital serving multiple counties in North Carolina.
