Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse in Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (7 South) providing direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering medications ordered by physicians, maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring a safe environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement the plan of care, adjusting care to age-specific needs, supporting cost containment and accurate patient charging, and participating in Performance Improvement activities. Requires current LPN licensure in NC (or compact state) and BLS certification; unit operates with 33 private rooms and a team of RNs, aides, and support staff. Day shift, full-time.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Current licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Compact state licensure
- BLS - American Heart Association certification
