Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse Medical Services Coordinator leads nursing operations at Warren County Detention Center in NC, providing direct patient care while coordinating daily nursing operations. The role includes guiding nursing staff to ensure high-quality care, assessing and documenting patient conditions, administering medications per standards and correctional regulations, ensuring treatment plans are followed, responding to emergencies, and serving as a liaison between nursing staff, providers, and facility leadership. This is a working leadership position in a secure correctional healthcare environment, with a 32-hour workweek (Monday–Friday).
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN license
- Experience in leadership or coordination within a nursing setting
- Ability to provide direct patient care and administer medications
- Knowledge of nursing standards and correctional regulations
- Ability to assess and document patient conditions and progress
- Strong communication with nursing staff, providers, and facility leadership
- Familiarity with State Scope of Practice and facility policies
