Job Summary
Provide patient care for pulmonary and respiratory conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, and asthma, using the nursing process to evaluate effectiveness and coordinate care across departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while ensuring their rights and confidentiality are protected. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including lifting and turning patients up to 50 pounds. Work nights from 1830 to 0700 in a part-time rotation. Requires current LPN licensure, BLS certification, and IV certification within three months of hire. Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 and evening shift differentials are available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
- Stand/Walk most of the time on duty
- Significant amount of bending and stooping
- Lifting and turning patients with assistance
- Push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Nights - 1830 to 0700
- Part-Time: Rotation
