Job Summary
Provide patient care for pulmonary and respiratory conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, asthma, and other lung-related illnesses, on the Medical 6B floor. Utilize the nursing process to evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate patient care with other departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including lifting and turning patients up to 50 pounds. Work nights from 1830 to 0700, with a sign-on bonus available up to $10,000.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability for Nights - 1830 to 0700 shifts
- Full-Time employment status
