Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Medical-Surgical Complex Care Unit (6800), a 39-bed acute medical telemetry unit, under direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include administering medications, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team, documenting using the electronic medical record, supervising assigned team members, and ensuring exam rooms and clinical areas are prepared. Requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff. Requires LPN licensure in NY and completion of an accredited practical nursing program; BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent
- Current licensure in the State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
