Job Summary
Provide direct patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Medical-Surgical Complex Care Unit (6800) at Rochester General Hospital. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team, perform nursing procedures, administer medications per protocols, document in the computerized medical record, supervise assigned team members, and support patients and families. The unit specializes in medically complex patients and care coordination for safe discharge; fast-paced, high-acuity environment requiring strong clinical judgment and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent required
- Current licensure in State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- At least 6 months LPN experience preferred
