Job Summary
LPN/LVN provides direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include bedside patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws, supporting care plans and throughput, collaborating with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring patient safety and infection control, documenting care in EMR/EHR, and communicating changes in patient condition promptly. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certifications within 90 days of hire, and current BLS; night shift full-time (7p–7a) duties at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Work experience in health care preferred.
