Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs delegated nursing tasks and participates in patient care within their Scope of Practice under supervision. Night shift duties include admitting/check-in, coordinating care, preparing and administering medications, collecting specimens for lab analysis, updating care plans, educating patients and families, communicating with RNs/physicians, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to quality improvement. The role requires BLS-HCP (and ACLS if applicable), potential IV certification, and ongoing documentation and patient care coordination across an inpatient setting at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT. 36 scheduled hours per week; hourly range $26.47–$40.87 depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire OR obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval
- Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is required if applicable to unit
- May need IV certification as required by facility
- Montana sites: Completion of in-house education and competency sign-off within three (3) months of hire
- LPNs hired into hospital departments that do not include a long-term care or behavioral health setting must be enrolled and complete their RN within 4 years
