Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents with chronic pulmonary conditions and tracheostomies under RN supervision. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures while monitoring, assessing, and documenting resident conditions in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to educate families on care goals and support daily unit operations. Assume shift leadership responsibilities as assigned and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Requires current Maryland LPN license, AHA CPR certification, and less than one year of nursing experience. Long-term care or tracheostomy experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Practical Nursing Program)
- Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification
- Less than one year of nursing experience
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Long-term care, pulmonary, rehabilitation, or tracheostomy care experience
- Experience with electronic health records (Synquest preferred)
- Familiarity with IV Pumps
- Familiarity with Phillips Monitoring System
- Familiarity with Accu-Chek devices
- Familiarity with EKG Machines
- Familiarity with Specialty Bed Operation
