Job Summary
Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in Health Care Units and housing units to contribute to individualized treatment planning. Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administering medications including IV therapy (if certified) and performing diagnostic tests per established protocols. Collaborate in controlled substance counts, respond to codes or health emergencies, and assist in medical or minor surgical procedures while documenting nursing encounters using SOAP charting. Work under RN supervision to provide direction in patient education and activities aligned with demonstrated competencies. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions to maintain adherence to policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience
