Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on weekend shifts for a residential substance abuse treatment program. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, assessing acuity and physical state, placing orders to toxicology/labs and pharmacies, receiving and analyzing laboratory results, taking and recording vital signs, dispensing medications, responding to medical emergencies, screening admissions, supervising staff, leading patient community meetings, participating in Performance Improvement Committee meetings, and acting as supervisor on duty. Qualifications include an associate degree or higher in Nursing, active LPN license, CPR certification, First Aid certification, and US work authorization. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of psychiatric nursing and chemical dependency treatment experience; ACLS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- AA, equivalent, or higher in Nursing
- Active state Licensed Practical Nursing License
- Certification in CPR
- Certification in First Aid
- Authorization to work in the US
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
- Chemical dependency treatment experience preferred
- ACLS preferred
- CPR certification required
- First Aid certification required
