Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed at ConvenientMD Urgent Care. Responsibilities include patient triage (vital signs, medical history, observational assessments), assisting with exams, and supporting providers during testing and procedures. Perform diagnostic and point-of-care testing (strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid panel, urinalysis), manage ECGs and airway care (nebulizers, oxygen), wound care and immunizations, and medication administration per regulations. Maintain accurate EMR documentation, communicate test results and treatment plans, and ensure instruments and workspace are clean and sterile. Collaborate with the clinical team, assist with training new staff, and support clinic operations. Requires availability for 12-hour shifts with flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and travel to nearby ConvenientMD locations as needed; some locations may require cross-location coverage within a >1 hour travel radius.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current state LPN license
- Experience placing and monitoring IVs
- IV certification for Maine and New Hampshire
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Proactive communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn Experity and other systems
