Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager

Job Summary
Direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Unit in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure high-quality resident care. Coordinate nursing services with other resident services, implement corrective action plans, and manage the QAPI program. Schedule daily rounds, monitor resident treatments and medications, and review progress notes to verify proper documentation and care plan adherence. Assign CNA and Charge/Staff Nurse roles across all shifts, oversee staff orientation, and provide in-service training as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning committees, assist in recruiting and evaluating personnel, and ensure compliance with resident rights and safety protocols. Maintain inventory levels and report equipment needs to the Director of Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school for practical or vocational nursing
- Valid LPN license in the state employed
- Valid CPR certification
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state
- Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
- Must speak and understand English
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare related facility
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
- Ability to read and write in English

Desired Qualifications
