Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care in a correctional setting under supervision. Responsibilities include administering routine and complex medications and injections, conducting focused nursing assessments, wound care and dressing changes, patient education on medication adherence and chronic disease self-management, assisting with sick calls and intake data collection, responding to medical emergencies, supervising CMAs where permitted, maintaining accurate documentation, participating in infection control and CQI trainings. Must hold NM LPN license and CPR/BLS certification; correctional healthcare experience preferred. 12-hour shifts with competitive hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of New Mexico
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Correctional or institutional healthcare experience preferred
