Job Summary
Develop nursing care plans with guidance from a Registered Nurse and perform complete physical assessments and medical history reviews. Administer prescribed medications securely while monitoring detainee symptoms, reactions, and progress to report problems to management. Document all detainee contacts and maintain confidential medical records while following industry and company accreditation policies. Work alongside Registered Nurses to provide the highest level of care to inmates/detainees while maintaining a safe and secure workplace. This role requires a current, unrestricted LPN license, two years of direct work experience, and competence in crisis intervention and medical emergencies. Full-time employees earn between $38.11 and $43.12 per hour with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state the facility is located
- Competence in crisis intervention
- Competence in medical emergencies
- Competence in physical assessment
- Competence in medical nursing care
- Competence in psychiatric nursing care
- Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis
- Ability to provide appropriate follow through treatment
- Active, valid driver's license
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- United States Citizen
