Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - SNF - Part Time

Job Summary
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents while checking their physical and emotional status on a regular basis. Administer and document medication, complete assessments on assigned residents, and chart informative nurse notes reflecting care provided and resident responses. Direct Nursing/Resident Care Assistants in their responsibilities, report discrepancies and issues to the Resident Care Coordinator, and communicate pertinent clinical data to physicians, families, and nursing staff. Walk and stand 75% of the day, moving intermittently to reach, bend, and stoop as required to move up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse – LPN by the State of Alabama
- Must possess CPR certification within thirty (30) days of employment
- Must be able to move about intermittently throughout the workday
- Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the work day
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance
- Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in a health care facility preferred
