Job Summary
Collects data and conducts focused nursing assessments for same-day surgery patients. Implements nursing interventions within patient-centered care plans and assists in evaluating responses to those interventions. Advocates for patient interests while communicating and collaborating with physicians, advanced practice nurses, and other health team members. Provides health counseling and teaching, delegates nursing interventions, and ensures safe, effective care delivery under RN supervision. Maintains confidentiality and upholds safety standards including CMS, The Joint Commission, and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Board of Nursing
- An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- The ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- The ability to communicate effectively with others
- The ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
