Job Summary
Prepare and assess patients for provider visits, observing and reporting their responses to medical care during appointments. Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to implement plans of care by providing direct basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice. Appropriately label and package specimens, assist with procedures, treatments, and interventions, and perform clerical duties as assigned. Act as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examinations as requested. Requires active state LPN licensure and Basic Life Support certification. Minimum $22.02 to maximum $33.04.
Required Qualifications
- Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to all ages of the patients
- Ability to learn and use a computer-based patient appointment scheduling and registration system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team
- Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills
