Job Summary
Manage clinical situations under direct supervision of a licensed RN by collecting patient data, completing required forms, and communicating with registered nurses. Participate in interdisciplinary care teams to provide input on plans of care, make referrals to multidisciplinary support services, and perform treatments or procedures as prescribed. Adhere to policy and procedure requirements including licensure renewal, employee health screenings, infection control, and medication administration while actively engaging in quality and core curriculum classes. Fulfill call for the unit as assigned, adjust staffing for census and acuity, and escalate unsafe working conditions or inappropriate patient care management to the RN. Complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
- Candidates with greater than twelve (12) months LPN experience are not eligible to participate
