Job Summary
Collect patient data, complete required forms, and communicate with the RN regarding patient problems and needs. Perform patient care under direct supervision of a licensed RN, including administering medications and providing discharge teaching. Participate in the interdisciplinary care team to contribute to the plan of care and make referrals to multidisciplinary support services. Monitor unsafe working conditions, escalate unit problems, and adjust staffing based on census and acuity. Adhere to all policy and procedure requirements, including licensure renewal, infection control, and patient confidentiality. Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
- Candidates with greater than twelve (12) months LPN experience are not eligible to participate
