Job Summary
Conduct patient care under direct supervision of a licensed RN, collecting data, completing forms, and communicating with the RN to address identified needs. Participate in the interdisciplinary care team to provide input on the plan of care, make referrals, and implement nursing measures for impending problems. Manage clinical situations by identifying emergencies, escalating to the RN, acting as an advocate for patient care, and evaluating care measures. Adhere to policies including licensure renewal, infection control, and medication administration while fulfilling call for the unit and adjusting staffing based on census and acuity. Complete all quality and core curriculum classes, professional development workshops, and clinical competency validations required for the Nurse Residency Program.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
- Less than one year of experience
- Must graduate 45 days or more prior to the start date
