Job Summary
Collect patient data, complete required forms, and communicate with the RN regarding identified patient needs and diagnostic results. Perform patient care under direct supervision of a licensed RN, including treatments, procedures, and discharge teaching. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, make referrals to multidisciplinary support services, and escalate emergency situations. Record patient care delivered, observe impending problems, and implement nursing measures as prescribed. Fulfill unit calls as assigned, adjust staffing for census and acuity, and actively participate in quality improvement processes. Complete all clinical competencies, validation requirements, and core curriculum classes for the Nurse Residency Program starting December 7th.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
- Less than one year of experience
- Must graduate 45 days or more prior to the start date
