Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Renal (Med Surg) at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Full-Time Day shift (7 am - 7 pm). Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, collaborating with interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Administers treatments and medications, participates in data collection and rounds, supports evidence-based practice and professional development, and serves as a preceptor/mentor while upholding policies and standards per Georgia Nurse Practice Act and WellStar governance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program
- Current/active license as an LPN in the State of Georgia
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date
- ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas
- Previous healthcare experience preferred; ambulatory/outpatient setting preferred; hospital-based experience may substitute
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills; English communication required
- Ability to utilize technology and basic computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program
- Current/active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Georgia
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS or PALS may be required in some practice areas
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
- Good time-management and organizational skills
- Experience in healthcare settings preferred; ambulatory/outpatient and hospital-based experience may substitute
