Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) sought for Renal (Med Surg) at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Full-Time daytime role (7 am–7 pm) within an interdisciplinary patient services team. Responsibilities include data collection for patient assessment, planning and evaluation of care; providing patient-centered nursing care under RN supervision; administering treatments and medications; documenting care; ensuring safe quality patient care; supporting performance improvement and evidence-based practice; mentoring other LPNs; adhering to organizational policies and standards; participating in shared leadership and interdisciplinary rounds. Requires graduation from an accredited LPN program, active LPN license in Georgia, and BLS (ACLS/PALS may be required).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program
- Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
- Current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date
- ACLS/PALS may be required in some practice areas
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Experience in ambulatory, outpatient setting preferred
- In some cases, hospital based experience may substitute
- Specific experience in practice specialty may be required
- Must be organized and manage time efficiently
- Attentiveness to detail
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
- Able to communicate in English and use technology in clinical care
