Job Summary
Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients, administering prescribed medications orally, subcutaneously, or via IV while monitoring vital signs and adjusting specialized equipment. Coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, initiating corrective action for adverse symptoms and participating in discharge planning. Perform bedside care duties including changing dressings, inserting catheters, starting IVs, and preparing equipment for physician examinations. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol, while accurately recording all medical information and care details in appropriate forms. Maintain adherence to business conduct and compliance standards within a supportive, team-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in State
- Must be available for Night shift, 7p-7a

- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles
- Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
- Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications
- Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse
- Records patients medical information and vital signs
- Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays
- Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
- Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients
- Changes dressings, insert catheters, starts IVs
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient
- Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol
- Participates in discharge planning
- Utilizes time management skills
- Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as an LPN or RN in a long-term care setting
