Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and monitor resident health status including skin integrity and vital signs in a collaborative long-term care environment. Execute physician orders, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and ensure compliance with infection control protocols and state regulations. Respond to urgent situations, lead CNA staff, float between units, and deliver comprehensive shift reports to ensure continuity of care. This role offers no mandatory overtime and includes a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time or $5,000 for part-time staff. Full-time employees receive NOMI Health Insurance with zero copays, deductibles, or coinsurance, plus tuition reimbursement eligibility after six months.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) nursing program
- Successful completion of State Board of Nursing licensure examination
- Current, active Michigan Board of Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Must maintain all continuing education requirements to keep nursing licensure active and in good standing
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely and effectively
- Must maintain visual acuity and physical stamina necessary to deliver quality resident care
Desired Qualifications
- Previous LPN/RN nursing experience, ideally in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, or senior care
- Experience working with geriatric or elderly populations
- Proficient with electronic documentation systems and healthcare technology
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality care improvement
