Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) needed to provide nursing care in a community setting for individuals with disabilities in Santa Fe, NM. Responsibilities include performing treatment and health care procedures, coordinating medical appointments per ISP, updating ISP/PCP with an interdisciplinary team, training staff on medical needs, monitoring health and medications, ensuring accurate program documentation and billing, building a support network, and complying with licensed practice standards. Requires a nursing degree, current nursing license, at least one year of nursing experience with individuals with disabilities, and a valid driver’s license; background checks and drug testing are required. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nursing field
- Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities
- Valid nursing license
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with an individual receiving supports
- Ability to effectively present facts and recommendations
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
