Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Progressive Care Medicine - Rotating

Job Summary
Provide direct, age-specific nursing care in a Progressive Care/Telemetry unit, including administration of prescribed medications and execution of an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care. Roles span Clin I–III with increasing scope: Clin I supports orientation and leadership development; Clin II requires 12–24 months RN experience and elevates clinical application; Clin III demonstrates higher-level clinical knowledge, mentoring, and role-modeling. Rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. Licensure: current RN license in Virginia or eligibility; BSN not required but encouraged with plan to enroll in an RN-to-BSN program within five years. Education/training includes Diploma or Associate Degree in nursing; preferred attainment of a BSN. Supervisory responsibilities may include organizing work and delegating tasks to RNs, LPNs, care partners, and staff as assigned. Maintains adherence to ANA Code of Ethics and Virginia policies; practice in alignment with unit standards and physician/provider orders.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
- Clin I: N/A Clin II: 12 to 24 months RN experience Clin III: 3 years of clinical experience
- Education/training REQUIRED: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program
- All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date unless grandfathered under previous requirements.
