Job Summary
Greet patients, activate files, and provide support to medical staff while recording health histories and noting abnormal conditions. Obtain vital signs, administer prescribed medications, and instruct patients on sample collection and discharge instructions. Assist with physical exams, prepare for procedures, and triage telephone calls to ensure productive departmental flow. Collect and deliver lab specimens, document chart entries accurately, and monitor controlled substance inventory. Clean exam rooms, follow infection control policies, and notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments.
Required Qualifications
- A degree from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with state regulations
